Blue

I am wearing:
Blazer - H&M || Shirt - Primark || Jeans - H&M || Shoes - China Girl (no longer available)
Nailpolish - Essie 'twin sweater set'

Hello everyone!!

For some reason, winter always makes me want to wear bright colours and bright shoes. This pair for example! It is the complete opposite of shoes that you can wear when it's freezing outside. Confession: I want to...

So, when the sun was shining, I went on with it and paired it with my favourite basic pieces. The outfit itself is warm enough for Winter wear, (again) the shoes are not. Obviously ;)

I really like that the shoes can completely lift the whole outfit, because the colour is very bold.

I originally bought them for my graduation ball, but I couldn't really show them off there because of my long dress. It made me feel really tall (I think the heel alone is 6cm?!) and I was pretty comfortable the whole time! The sand wasn't that nice, but once I got inside it was good :)

I have been getting into brighter shoes (with heels) lately, buying a pair of sneaker heels last November and these beauties in June last year! It's a nice contrast to my grey and black converse shoes.

Are you a converse of heel kind of girl?

London Haul 2 | Boots, Forever 21, Selfridges, H&M

When I went to London in June, I spent as much money as I could in the four days that I stayed there. Last time, I did have a budget. I wasn't able to go in to a Boots store last time, strangely one of the things I wanted if I ever went there again. I did have a bit of a splurge there, but in my defence, they were all on my list! I went in prepared: THE frist night we wen tot à little Boots store near St. Pauls Church, and I got their Christmas special. It took me a couple of nights to make a list of what I wanted. On the last day, we went to Picadilly Circus, what we thought was a big
Also, I went to my favourite clothing store in the world: Forever21. Last stop (where I actually bought something) was Selfridges.

Soap and Glory had a 2+1 promotion! There was another 2+1 promotion on all Christmas-selected products. I have heard a lot of positive things about Soap and Glory, so I wanted to make sure I bought some and see for myself! They don't sell it in the Boots stores here, and it was actually pretty hard to decide what products I wanted to try. I love body scrubs, so the Sugar Crush was the first pick. I like the smell a lot, which is why I chose the normal sized pot. And who doesn't love hand cream?

Another beauty product that is not available in The Netherlands yet, lip crayons! (Yes, they are available now. When I went to London the only ones were from Clinique, and I was not willing to pay over 30 euro for it) The Ted Baker crayons were boxed in the sweetest tin!!
The lip crayons from Ted Baker are a little bit glossier then the crayons from Seventeen, but the Seventeen crayons seem to have a higher pigmentation... Hmm.. (I will be doing a blog post on both soon!)

Next thing I picket up are clear elastics. Like all of the above products, no where to be found here... There is not a lot to say about this. Only that they are very easy to use, and I am able to wrap them around my hair 3 times. They are very strong and I love wearing them!

Tangle Teezer!!! I love it. I was never able to comb my hair after a shower (with 10 minutes left to get ready before I had to leave). This is another product I have seen a lot of people raving about, and I just needed to try it myself :)

On the first day, we went to Forever 21. 'In case you need some time to think about it' my mom said. She knows me better than I know myself, and she was right. MOVING ON! haha.

I should iron my clothes before snapping pictures...

I didn't go all out this time, but I did pick up the most comfy things! Sitting at home means I was staying in my PJ's a lot, and it got a bit boring. I don't own a one piece, so I mostly chill in my Pooh bottoms and H&M sweatshirt. The shirt is slightly oversized, and a bit shorter than normal on the bottom :) The legging in the warmestest thing I have ever worn, and I finally own a patterned legging. (White girl much?)

I bought this H&M necklace at Selfridges ;)  It's a short necklace, great to wear with a collared shirt! It's not really heavy and I like that it has different parts. The parts are being held together with small silver rings, making it more comfortable to wear (and less easy to snap into pieces).

Hope you liked it! I am really sorry for not posting it on Friday, my cousin was staying here for the weekend and I was helping my mum with getting the floor done in the garage.

New blazer, new styling options!

A tailored blazer is classic, feminine and looks great on all body types. Pair it with anything: jeans, little dresses, trousers, skirts. - Nicole Chavez (star stylist)

Hi there!!
A blazer is a must have in every wardrobe. It can make or brake a complete outfit. It can make an outfit much more mature, which is perfect for a job interview or a more fancy dinner. But a blazer can also be used as a coat in spring or fall! Put on nice pastel or bright coloured scarf, and you're done. And it's a great piece to add to your christmas outfit!

Sometimes, I like to dress like I am an adult (even though I am not!!). I like wearing a blazer to make a casual outfit more classic. But having only one shorter black blazer (that I actually wear), I was running out of options! Which meant only one thing: blazer shopping! (I am leaving out the part that I had to buy a new black pants because I tore my old ones...)

I decided on a slightly longer blazer from H&M, not wanting to pay a ton of money on something I don't need on an everyday basis. The blazer does not have a button to close, which is great because I never wear a blazer closed. I also, consciously, went for black instead of colour. This because I have a camel coloured blazer, but I cannot find anything to pair it with. I feel like black goes with everything, and I can wear it on so many occasions!

I am really happy with the blazer (only costing me € 29,90!) and like the increase of options for my wardrobe :) I also love that the edging is a different, more shiny fabric than the rest of the blazer.

What is/are your favourite items in your wardrobe? Or do you have any suggestions to wear with my camel blazer? Let me know in the comments below!!

And don't forget to plan in a little bit of your time tomorrow to get a sneak peek of what I will be eating on Christmas!

1 Top, 10 Outfits

Hii everyone!!!
A few months ago I posted an outfit from when I went out to dinner with my family. I got a great response, and got inspired for this post! I used the same top, and put together 10 outfits for a few different occasions. With each oufit, I will explain where and why I would wear it. Enjoy!!

I am wearing
H&M Jeans | Primark Fluffy socks
I would wear this outfit for casual. I would wear this when I don't have anything planned, and I am doing things around the house. I would also wear this when I go to friends, putting on a coat or vest. In summer I wear this with my red Vans, or with a bright coloured sneaker.

HEMA leggings | Adidas Shoes | H&M Blazer | SIXX Necklace
This is a bit more formal, but not too much. Personally, I do not feel very comfortable when I have to 'dress to impress'. I would wear this to a birthday party for family or friends. I like to pair this with a low shoe, or with ankle boots. If you don't feel comfortable wearing leggings, you can also wear this with a dark washed jeans or black trousers.
H&M pants

I would wear this to school or when I am going out. I like wearing the top with a different colour than black (although this happens most of the time...) I would also wear the top inside of the pants, because the pants is a bit higher than normal. This makes your legs look a bit longer and slimmer :)

This is another casual outfit. I wear this when I go shopping. When I go shopping, I always make sure I wear multiple layers. This prevents me from having to wait in line for the dressings rooms, but still feeling comfortable for trying on clothes in the store.

H&M buisness Skirt
I would wear this to a jon interview. I would wear this for a serious job. I personally try to stay away from pairing gray with the top, but I think this combination works because the skirt is the eye catcher. This outfit is more mature, but when your dream job is on the line, looking more serious might be a good thing.
If you are not very confident about showing your legs (or slept in and forgot to shave) you can wear thights or a panty under. I would go for a skin toned panty with 60 denier, or a black one with 20 denier.

HEMA cardigan | American Appearal pants | Zign Sneakers with heels
This is more of a statement outfit. It's bold, and maybe a little risky. The risky thing about wearing this out is that people will look. Where I live, the pants are too high, and wearing it with a shirt tucked in, you are asking them to look at it. Which is exactly the reason why I bought it when I was in London :) I usually play it save with clothes, but have been trying to step out of my comfort zone. And let's not forget that the fabric is elastic, so it's pretty much a fancy pyjamapants.
I am not sure when I would wear this. Maybe a birthday or when I am going somewhere more stylish.

Jane Normann Skirt
I would also wear this to a job interview for a creative job. It's a 'formal' outfit, but it's not to adult-ish (great way to describe it!). I am only seventeen, so dressing for a serious occaison should also be fun! I would wear a longer blazer over it, falling just over the hip. Again, if you are not very confident about showing leg, you can wear this with a panty.

ONLY basic skirt. I do not know what happened to the bottom of the picture here...
I would wear this to work. We have a dress code, which is black with a bit white and it has to be professional, but still you. When it becomes colder outside, I am leaning more towards wearing leggings instead of jeans (If you are like me, there are leggings with fleece on the market).

GAP shorts | Primark leggings
I would wear this to a theme party. I would never wear this normally, but sometimes you have to be a bit crazy and pair things that don't really go together. Like a striped top and leggings with dots... You can wear this in summer without leggings or with a 20 denier panty in black.

Primark cardigan
This is totally a house outfit. A big knitted cardigan paired with comfortable leggings and top. I prefer wearing a top without sleeves when I wear a cardigan, so this top is perfect! You can wear this when you go out, but personally it's a bit too casual for me for going out.

As you can see, I am a very lazy person when it comes to clothing, and the most important thing to me is to wear what you are comfotable in wearing! Fashion to me is all about having fun, but still being yourself :)

What is your favourite outfit? Are you more of a casual kind of person or do you prefer a more classy look?

Winter 2013 | Lookbook

Happy Friday everyone!!
The sunny days are over, rain and wind and cold is approaching fast. I used to think Summer was my favourite season, but Autumn and Winter might win it this year!!
I had a lot of free time lately, giving me the opportunity to check out as many fashion shows as I could :)
Along with this, I decided to make a 'Winter Lookbook' with it!

I tried to keep it as basic as possible, hoping a lot of you can get inspired for winter clothing.

Sweater - Primark & Jeans - H&M
Oversized clothing is the new 'it'. And sweaters are always nice :) I paired it with a dark washed jeans for a simple but classic and comfortable look.

Cardigan - Primark
Blue is the headlining colour for this winter.

Top - Only | Jeans - H&M | Scarf - local boutique
Denim is also a trend that is coming back. Paring a denim top with a jean is getting more popular every season. For this look I paired it with a long sleeved white top, and a bright coloured scarf, which is another winter trend :)

Top - Only | Skirt - H&M | Legging - HEMA | Cardigan - C&A | Scarf - Only
A classic black and white look for everyday wear.
Cardigan - Primark
I love pairing a very basic legging and top with something different. Ombre was more of a summer trend, but I loved this knitted vest and I couldn't not buy it!! I think it makes the whole look a bit more sophisticated, without really putting in a lot more effort than normal ;)

Hope this made you a little bit more excited for the cold weather!
